Lemon Beebalm

Lemon beebalm is a North American native plant that grows to around 2 to 3 feet high and 12 inches wide. It bears lavender, pink, or white lemon-scented flowers during July and August; removing dead flowers will extend the flowering. Beebalm grows in sunny or partially shady areas. If you gently rub your finger across the leaf, you'll be pleasantly surprised by its fragrance. Beebalm is great for attracting bees, butterflies, and hummingbirds to your garden. It's easy to grow and adds a lot of color to your border. Cut back at the end of the summer, and maintain soil moisture during dry periods to minimize powdery mildew.
