Miagos Bush

Gold Fingers Miagos bush is a variegated version of the Philippine Miagos Bush. The leaves are palmate and compound with medium green coloring and yellow splashes of color and are arranged spirally on the stems giving the appearance of a bamboo or palm although it is neither. Tight clusters of dark brown flower buds are borne terminally and open to reveal cream colored flowers. This small tropical bush can grow in clumps to about four or five feet in height and about three to four feet wide. This plant prefers good light and moderate moisture and will not withstand frost. It must be overwintered indoors in Chicago in a warm, sunny spot.
