Variegated Mockorange

Innocence mock orange is medium sized shrub that is noted for its profuse, highly fragrant white flowers which appear in May and June, and with some variegated (green and white) leaves. It grows to about eight feet in height and width and has a rounded, open form with older boughs gracefully arching. Like most mock oranges, Innocence is very adaptable to a range of planting conditions, requiring only that the soil be well-drained. However it performs better with consistently moist soils. Plant where the canes can fall gracefully and the beauty of the blossoms can be appreciated. After flowering, trim to maintain shape and prune back hard if the plant has become very overgrown.
