Moss Phlox

Phlox subulata ‘Emerald Pink’ is commonly known as a moss phlox or creeping phlox. It grows only 6inches high, forming a dense cushion/ mat of dark green foliage. It blooms in late spring to early summer with a showy display of bright pink flowers. Plant it in full sun. It is resistant to deer and is hardy in zones 3 - 8. The genus name is from the Greek word phlox meaning flame in reference to the many bright colors of some varieties.
