Ninebark
If you look carefully at the bark of this plant you'll see that it peels away. This is why it is often called 'ninebark.
LEMON CANDY Ninebark is a petite shrub growing to three feet tall and wide with brilliant chartreuse foliage. In the spring it bears small white or pink flowers which later turn into red capsules in the fall. As it flowers on old wood it should be pruned after flowering although it can be completely cut back in late winter for rejuvenation.
