The Bosnian pine will slowly grow to a height of 40’ and a width of 10’. Cones are a unique purple-blue. It does best in full sun and prefers moist, well-drained, slightly acidic soil. It is more tolerant of salt spray and wind on the foliage than other pines and can be used to block wind.
