Chuckles Floribunda Rose
'Chuckles' is a floribunda rose, which means the flowers grow abundantly in clusters, starting in June. Introduced in 1958 in Canada, so you know it's proven itself very hard indeed. The moderately fragrant flowers are semi-double (averaging 11 petals), 2.5-3 inches across, and bright pink a with a prominent white eye. It produces small but persistent rose hips in late summer to fall. Foliage is dark green and disease-resistant.
Like all roses, it's happiest in full sun with consistently moist soil and good air circulation. A slow-release fertilizer at the beginning of the season and deadheading through mid-August will give you more prolific bloom. And if you leave the remaining flowers in place, you'll get those colorful hips come fall.
