Bailey's Gold Stonecrop

Among the stonecropSedums,
kamtschaticum Weihenstephaner Gold is particularly colorful throughout the
growing season. New growth emerges red in the spring, maturing to a bronzy
green. Then in late spring it begins its show of prolific yellow flowers on
dark purple stems. Blooms continues all summer, and over time, the flowers age
to golden orange, followed by red fruits.

Like other perennial stonecrops, this
Sedum makes an effective and undemanding ground cover,
forming a dense mat of green. As a mountain native, it can thrive in hot sun
and poor soil, as long as it has good drainage.
You can use it in a rock garden…between pavers…in stone walls…or even on
a green roof.
