American Linden

This beautiful tree is a form of linden tree that is native to the midwest. It's called an AMERICAN SENTRY™ linden because of its straight branches, like a sentry on duty.

The AMERICAN SENTRY™ American Linden has a pyramidal growth form reaching a height of abuot 45 feet and a width of about 25 feet with straight regular branching and is an excellent shade tree. In the spring it bears hanging clusters of up to ten fragrant yellow flowers which are attractive to butterflies. In the winter the interesting gray bark is a feature. This tree is noted for its resistance to Japanese beetle.
