Silver linden
The shiny dark-green leaves with silvery undersides glisten in the sun and wind. It's a beautiful large shade tree not commonly used by gardeners. Fragrant yellowish-white flowers open in late June or early July and fill the air with their sweet scent. Native to southeastern Europe and western Asia, the silver linden has an oval habit and when mature will reach heights in excess of 50'. Notice the silvery undersides of the leaves on a windy day
