Creamy yellow to pale-orange flowers are produced atop sturdy stems on this tulip belonging to the Darwin Hybrid section. 'Daydream' was released to the trade in 1980 from the Netherlands. It is a sport of 'Yellow Dover'. Darwin Hybrids are the best adapted tulips for naturalizing in the Chicago area if planted in full sun and well-drained soil that stays on the dry side from mid- to late summer.
