Before the bridge to Regenstein Fruit and Vegetable Garden, on the Bulb Garden perimeter, you will find Turkestan tulip (Tulipa turkestanica) in bloom. Instead of having a single flower atop one stem, each 8 to 10 inch plant has up to twelve star-shaped blossoms about 2 inches wide. Pink-flushed buds open to reveal white flowers with yellow centers and purple-tipped yellow anthers.
