Rhynchorides Orchid
Deep orange flowers fade to a strong yellow toward the center surrounding a lavender to purple lip on this relative of the Vanda orchid. The single stem will need some support to remain upright when up to 20 flowers, 1.5 cm in size, come into flower. The fragrance is a delicate floral, not overpowering, even in small rooms. Grow this orchid in bright light and high humidity, with volcanic pebbles or coarse bark with charcoal potting media, and water frequently.
