Get cross-sporulated!

Innovative and irrepressible mycologist Paul Stamets was our guest lecturer on May 9, 2015, and, as he did with his TED talk (a Planet Green top five eco-favorite), he enthralled the crowd.

In this self-described “immersion lecture,” Stamets goes deep into mushroom lore (Fomes fomentarius was once used to carry fire embers), discusses mushrooms as miniature pharmaceutical factories, and shows the “elixir of long life,” the longest-living mushroom in the world—and that’s all within the first ten minutes.

“Brace for impact!”
